About this spot
A park developed on the hillside in Yamate, known for its beautiful view of Yokohama Port and the Yokohama Bay Bridge. The garden also features a rose garden with seasonal flowers, offering a leisurely stroll with the open vista of a port town. From the observation deck, you can see ships coming and going, making it a place where you can feel the history of Yokohama as a trading port.

本牧神社を中心に、本牧漁港や新本牧公園を舞台に開かれる、横浜に古くから伝わる伝統行事です。2026年は7月31日から8月2日までの3日間の開催で、コースの対象日はその初日にあたります。麦わらで作った馬形の御神体を船に乗せて沖合に流し、悪疫退散と地域の安寧を願う「お馬流し」の神事は、港町として発展してきた本牧ならではの海の祭りです。19時からは新本牧公園と本牧神社境内で、中区最大規模ともいわれる盆踊り大会と縁日が開かれ、屋台の明かりと太鼓の音が港の夜を包みます。
Tips
会場周辺は当日混み合うことが予想されるため、公共交通機関の利用や早めの到着がおすすめです。縁日の屋台は現金払いが中心なので小銭を用意しておきましょう。
