About this spot
A small station on the JR Yokosuka Line, and the starting point for visiting Kita-Kamakura's ancient temples such as Engaku-ji, Meigetsu-in, and Kencho-ji. The grounds of Engaku-ji come right up to the platform, so you're wrapped in the atmosphere of the old capital the moment you step off the train. Quiet, atmospheric shops are scattered around the station.
Tips
Kita-Kamakura gets crowded during the autumn leaves season, so it's best to start out early in the morning.
