About this spot

A symbol of Odawara and an impregnable fortress that served as the residence of the Hōjō clan for over 100 years. The current castle tower was restored in the Showa era, and its dignified four-story, five-tiered structure commands presence as the center of the ruins park. Climbing to the top floor of the castle tower reveals a panoramic view stretching from the blue sea of Sagami Bay to the mountain ranges of Hakone and the Sakawa River area where tonight's fireworks will be launched. Within the ruins park are facilities including a small animal zoo, a Japanese garden, and restored structures like the Umadashiguchi Gate and Copper Gate. The park is famous as a plum and cherry blossom viewing spot, and a stroll amidst the lush summer greenery is a refreshing experience.

2026年8月1日(土)19時10分から20時10分まで、酒匂川スポーツ広場・小田原大橋周辺を会場に開催される小田原酒匂川花火大会です。酒匂川の水面越しに打ち上がる花火は、川面に光を映しながら夜空に大きく広がり、箱根の山々をバックにした雄大なロケーションの中で楽しめます。広い河川敷から見上げる花火は視界を遮るものが少なく、開放感あふれる観覧ができるのがこの会場の魅力のひとつです。フィナーレに向けて次々と打ち上がる花火の音と光は、夏の小田原の夜を鮮やかに彩ります。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は大会公式サイトや小田原市の発表で当日必ず確認してください。終了後は周辺道路と小田原駅が大変混雑します。フィナーレ後はその場で余韻を楽しみながら少し時間をおいてから移動する時間差帰宅がおすすめ。足元が暗いので小さなライトがあると安心です。

Tips

About 10 minutes on foot from the east exit of Odawara Station. Castle tower admission: ¥510 for adults, ¥200 for elementary and junior high school students. Open 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (last entry at 4:30 PM). Strolling the ruins park is free. On the fireworks day, the park will be crowded, but in the early afternoon you can view at a more leisurely pace.
